Mission Projects ...

Heifer Project
One practical way that we can all support healthy children is by supporting the Heifer Project. Donations will be collected throughout the year.

Heifer envisions a world of communities living together in peace and equitably sharing the resources of a healthy planet.

Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth.

Heifer’s strategy is to “pass on the gift.” As people share their animals’ offspring with others – along with their knowledge, resources, and skills – an  expanding network of hope, dignity, and self-reliance is created that reaches around the globe.

Sunday Schools ...

Children's Church
During the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services, there is children’s church for children in kindergarten through 2nd grade in room 110 after the children’s sermon. This is an opportunity for children to learn about worship through music, drama, Bible stories and hands-on activities. Adults and teen-agers partner to lead this experience. We have DVD’s and CD’s to lead the children in music and great curriculum for the children to experience worship “kidstyle.”

    Fun things do ...

Tweens
Are your children in 3rd through 5th grades looking for a place to hang out with their friends in addition to Sunday school? CUMC is organizing a group just for those TWEENS. We will gather at least once a quarter for fun and fellowship as we explore Hampton Roads with the off-site lessons from Ready, Set, Go! We will strengthen
our relationships with one another and
grow in our faith in God.

Our next event will be Sunday afternoon, January 18.

We are looking for Parent Volunteers to join the fun! We will need drivers, chaperones and others to participate in our outings. If you are interested, please contact Andi Sinues at asinues1204@cox.net or Tracy Thomas at tracy.a.thomas@cox.net
